Help can’t come soon enough for some of Manchester’s disadvantaged children and families but it will come sooner thanks to a new council initiative to build a better, brighter future for those in need.

More than 10,000 LEGO bricks have been donated to a Manchester children’s charity in a bid to bring fun and happiness to the city’s most disadvantaged kids.

Greater Manchester’s troubled families are having their lives turned around by a new government programme
