Hundreds of Rik Mayall fans have taken to Twitter to pay their final respects to the late comedy star with a series of selfies using the hashtag #FlickForRik.

With elections round the corner, UKIP candidates took to Twitter to explain why they have the edge over other parties – but the #WhyImVotingUkip was quickly pounced on by opposition supporters
