Greater Manchester Police has launched an operation this week in an attempt to tackle increasing knife crime in the area.
Enquiries are continuing in relation to the attack at the Arndale Shopping Centre earlier today.
One person was seriously injured with several others treated for stab wounds after a suspected terrorist attack this morning at the Arndale Centre in Manchester city centre.
Labour councillor Pat Karney praised the quick reponse of Manchester police and emergency services after several stabbings in the Arndale Centre on Friday morning.
The stabbings at Manchester’s Arndale Centre left one person with serious injuries and another three requiring medical treatment.
