Gary Caldwell admits Wigan are entering the unknown when his team make the short trip to Oldham this weekend, but thinks that they are improving every week.

After a week-long training camp in Spain, Wigan’s players will make trips to Vanarama Conference side Altrincham on July 14 and Southport on July 18 before their League One tilt.
