Self-proclaimed “remoaner” funny-man Nish Kumar unleashed an impassioned tirade of fire and fury on the people of Salford at the Lowry Theatre, the biggest audience that he has ever performed for.

“It is an odd thing where you’re doing comedy and getting paid to comment on the collapse of western civilization,” reflects Nish Kumar on his job as a political comedian.

You’d expect stand-up comedian Nish Kumar to be nervous, but he thinks that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
