Shaune Harrison, who did make-up for Star Wars, Harry Potter and Captain America among countless other Hollywood movies, is launching his own prosthetics school, which is opening its doors in Salford Quays for the very first time.

Film Hub North West has secured a massive £51,100 grant from the British Film Institute (BFI) to take part in Sci-Fi: Days of Fear and Wonder season this autumn.

The independent film – punsomely entitled Shooting on the Rim – was completed on a shoestring budget and shot over a 14-day-schedule across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Yorkshire.
