“We always got told we’d struggle here, but no. As soon as we walk through the door, football is out the window and we’re f***ing cousins,” Courteeners frontman Liam Fray affirmed to the room.
“I confidently predict that exactly no one will be listening to it in ten years’ time” stated a British newspaper regarding the Courteeners’ debut album, St Jude, around ten years ago.
As Manchester prepares for the homecoming of Courteeners in early December, the band have released a charity Christmas single and an expanded edition of 2014 album, Concrete Love.
Liam, from Middleton in north Manchester, established his connection with the university 11 years ago while studying as an economics and then creative writing student.
