The idea to expand the rooftop garden to having bee-hives and producing honey came to Fred Booth a couple years ago when he felt the need to do something different.

The Printworks will be selling hundreds of jars of Manchester’s finest ‘live from the hive’ honey as they celebrate their second annual harvest to raise money for two Manchester charities.

Salix Homes housing association, who now own the Duchy Road home where Delaney wrote her most famous play A Taste of Honey, are teaming up with Kersal Vale Beekeepers to produce commemorative honey pots for the second year running.
