Buy Art Fair, famed for bringing hundreds of galleries, artists, talks, tours and workshops to Old Granada Studios, has announced that the Royal Academy of Art will be exhibiting for the first time.

This city cannot be considered a major city until it has an art market, says Manchester-born art collector and entrepreneur, Frank Cohen.

A Manchester artist has designed a compact map of the city’s cultural and culinary hot spots, ahead of the annual Buy Art Fair taking place between September 24-27.

Preparations are already underway for this year’s event, which takes place at Old Granada Studios from September 24 to 27

Sitting in the historic surroundings of the Old Granada Studios, surrounded by the canvas, collage and creations of the Buy Art Fair exhibition, MM caught up with Director Thom Hetherington.

As more than 500 artists plan to showcase their work at the Buy Art Fair and The Manchester Contemporary, many have their own unique tales to tell about their inspirations.

Manchester will become awash with colour and culture as the nation’s biggest art fair outside of London will settle in to its new location at the iconic Old Granada Studios later this month.

Buy Art Fair and The Manchester Contemporary will be calling Old Granada Studios home from September 26 – 28.
