Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea had no answer to a Santi Cazorla cracker in front of a packed Seville crowd ahead of Spain’s World Cup defence.
The Red Devil saw Santi’s saintly free-kick beat him all ends up while training at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán before Spain take on Bolivia in tonight’s friendly.
De Gea is vying with Champions League-winning keeper Iker Casillas and former Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina for the coveted Spain number one spot – with skipper Casillas set to get the nod despite another alien season for the long-serving Real Madrid veteran, who was frozen out by Jose Mourinho in 2013 and then only played cup games this term.
De Gea arrived in England in 2011, while Cazorla made the move a year later – and wasted no time scoring past the United custodian.
The ex-Villarreal man has notched one strike against De Gea in the Premier League – a consolation in a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford just four months into his English adventure.
Spain face Netherlands, Chile and Australia in Group B in Brazil next month.
