Manchester City gave Carlos Tevez a polite send-off following the completion of his £7.6million move to Juventus.
The 29-year-old will don the now iconic number 10 shirt previously worn by Juventus legends Alessandro del Piero and Michel Platini.
Tevez revealed that he had turned down an offer from Milan to join their Serie A rivals.
He told the Juventus club website: “I feel the responsibility of wearing this number and I am aware of the great responsibility of representing Juventus and playing for the club so this number is certainly a great challenge.”
A Manchester City club statement said: “Everyone at Manchester City wishes Carlos the best of look in Italy and thanks him for his important contribution.”
The controversial striker has spent an often turbulent four-years at the Etihad Stadium, including a refusal to play for the club during a Champions League game in September 2011. The spat effectively saw Tevez exiled from football for six-months.
He returned to the club in February 2012 and help City win their first league title for 34 years.
Tevez, who made 148 appearances for City, scoring 73 goals, has signed a three-year deal with the reigning Serie A champions.
