Manchester United fan rant: ‘Fool’ David Moyes ‘doesn’t deserve anything from club’, claims livid supporter

A furious Manchester United fan has branded under-pressure manager David Moyes a ‘fool’ after the embarrassing 3-0 defeat against neighbours City.

An Old Trafford regular vented his fury about the new Scottish manager to FullTimeDEVILS claiming that Moyes has lost the fans.

Last night’s dismantling at the hands of City ensures the Red Devils will finish with their lowest Premier League points total.

“Next Tuesday is April fool’s day and the biggest fool in Manchester is you David Moyes,” the supporter ranted.

“You’ve lost the fans tonight, you don’t deserve the fans, you don’t deserve anything from this club.

“You got the job on the technicality of a legend who recommended you. You are nothing, you are a fool and you are a waste of time.”

Since Moyes’ appointment United have been breaking all the wrong records, and last night’s humiliation lead to one more as the Reds have never lost all four league clashes against rivals Liverpool and City.

A brace from Edin Dzeko and a late Yaya Toure strike means that City have now won three consecutive games at Old Trafford for the first time in 24 years.

United have also lost more home games this season than in the last three seasons combined.

The disgruntled fan also claimed that the problem not only lies with Moyes but with the heavily-criticised American owners.

He said: “Moyes is on a six-year contract, he is best mates with Fergie. The Glazers don’t know anything about football and eventually it will become a financial decision.

“What else can be said, again tactically backwards. When the second goal went in Moyes was sat sulking in his chair. The only good one tonight was Wayne Rooney.”

Moyes wrote in Tuesday’s programme notes how football is an ever-changing landscape.

“Football is cyclical and it will not be long before we are on the up,” he said in United Review.

“At this present time we sit behind City in the Premier League table, but that is something we will be looking to rectify in the future.

“The title race is something we are aiming to be involved in over the coming campaigns, just as we have been in the past.

“Until it is impossible for us to qualify for next season’s Champions League with a top-four finish, we will continue to try and reach that goal.”

The Scot also received the backing of former United and England great Sir Bobby Charlton, who scored 249 goals in 758 games for the Old Trafford club.

“I’m absolutely certain that we picked the right man,” said Charlton, 76.

Despite the support, nothing changes the fact Moyes has been making headlines for the wrong reasons this season. Here’s why:

Manchester City 4-1 Manchester United: United equalled their heaviest defeat at the Etihad Stadium, which was their joint-biggest loss away to City since 1989.

Manchester United 0-1 Newcastle United: Newcastle won at Old Trafford for the first time in 41 years having gone 32 games away at United without tasting victory since 1972. The defeat was also the first time since 2002 that United lost successive home Premier League games.

Manchester United 1-2 Swansea:  Swansea, who first visited Old Trafford in 1931, finally recorded their first win there. It was only the second time since 1984 that United exited the FA Cup in the third round.

Sunderland 2-1 Manchester United: United, who were also beaten by Tottenham on New Year’s Day, lost three successive games for the first time since 2001 with defeat in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg.

Olympiakos 2-0 Manchester United: Olympiakos became the first Greek side ever to beat United in European competition.
