Tyson Fury has taken to Twitter to vent his frustration at the postponement of his scheduled fight with Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury, who attended Wednesday’s news conference dressed as Batman, was due to fight Klitschko, in Dusseldorf on October 24, but the Ukrainian has pulled out with a calf injury.
The fight would have been Klitschko’s 28th heavyweight title bout, and the 39-year-old told fans via Instagram that he will work hard to reschedule with a new date expected to be announced next week.
It is not the first time Fury has been left disappointed by an opponent; in 2011 David Haye twice pulled out against the Wythenshawe fighter who has won all 24 of his professional fights.
Looking on the bright side, Fury shared his plans for his first night off with his followers.
It’s safe to say I’m hitting the drink right now gutted… woooop woooop #fuckklitschko pic.twitter.com/2xv5AMbrPa
