Ryan Giggs will travel to his birthplace Cardiff on Sunday with Manchester United manager David Moyes lavishing praise on his veteran midfielder.
The Welshman, who turns 40 next week, is currently operating a player coach role at Old Trafford.
Moyes spoke of how much he is enjoying working alongside the United legend.
“He’s an outstanding player and it’s a privilege to be working with him on my staff,” Moyes said.
“I’ve seen something different since I’ve come here – just how good he is, close up and it’s incredible.
“It will be great for Ryan to go back to Cardiff and I’m sure the supporters will give him a big cheer.”
Victory against table-topping Arsenal in their last fixture before the international break brought United back into the title mix.
The defending Premier League champions currently sit fifth in the table, five points behind the Gunners at the top.
“You can’t do anything about the international break whether you win or lose going in to it,” said Moyes.
“We’re on a good run of form, we’re feeling good at the moment.
“We have confidence about us and we want to try and keep that going.”
United will be without Phil Jones and Michael Carrick for the trip to South Wales and are sweating on the fitness of Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck.
Carrick’s place in central midfield could go to Giggs or Tom Cleverley with Anderson an outsider to make his first appearance in two months.
For 14th placed Cardiff, striker Andreas Cornelius returns after an ankle injury while Peter Odemwingie and Aron Gunnarsson could also feature.
