Bolton Wanderers and USA defender Tim Ream says the Championship side are about to explode into life and storm up the table.
Wanderers currently sit 20th in the table, 12 points off the play-offs and face a Sheffield Wednesday side shorn of confidence at the weekend.
Bolton’s long-awaited first league victory this term came before the international break at Birmingham and Ream is optimistic that can kick start their season.
“It’s just a matter of time before we start banging goals in the back of the net and moving up the table,” Ream told NBCSports.
“We definitely have the guys in the squad that can do that for us.”
The USA international has forced his way back into Dougie Freedman’s plans at the Reebok after struggling last season, showing his versatility in both defence and midfield.
“Last year it was definitely a struggle for me in terms of adjusting to the style that is the Championship,” Ream said.
“I’ve taken the opportunity that was given to me and I’m playing well and playing consistently.
“I’m happy to be playing wherever they see fit and wherever I can help out the team.”
Ream was omitted from Jurgen Klinsmann’s latest USA squad and is keen to force his way into the German’s plans ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
The Bolton man believes his national side can do well in Brazil and is desperate to get back in a USA shirt.
“I have to continue to keep playing well and be on the field consistently to get that call,” Ream said.
“In the back of your mind you’re always looking for that next call in and when that game is so you can be involved.”
Ream joined Bolton in 2012 from New York Red Bulls and the 26-year-old has refused to rule out a return to the MLS at some point in the future.
“I think all the guys that have played in the league and moved on would like to come back,” he said.
“I’m no different. When that time is, I don’t know. But yeah I definitely see myself moving back at some point.”
