North West Thunder welcome the Northern Diamonds to the Emirates Old Trafford to kick off their Charlotte Edwards Twenty20 campaign.
Having come third place last time out in the group phase, the Thunder will be hoping to push on from their semi-final play-off exit to the Southern Vipers.
And their first game sees them host the Northern Diamonds on Sunday at 13:00.
This season’s Charlotte Edwards Twenty20 Cup has a new format, where the eight teams will play ten matches in the group stage, against four teams once and three teams twice.
The top four teams will then play in the semi-finals at the Incora County Ground in Derby at Finals Day on 22 June.
Last season’s champions, the Southern Vipers, were unable to get their campaign off to a winning start, losing to The Blaze by just three runs yesterday afternoon.
