Football fans, students, budding journalists or those who fancy jacking in their office jobs this summer have just a few days left to apply for this year’s ‘Best Job in the World‘.
The sun may have started shining in the UK but the action is due to reach boiling point in Brazil come June 12 when this decade’s biggest global sporting event kicks off.
Bookmaker Titan Bet is offering one lucky Mancunian the chance to fly to Brazil to cover the biggest football tournament on the planet.
The bookmakers are giving people the chance of swapping the grey, commuter packed pavements of Piccadilly for a stroll along the golden sands of the Copacabana beach filled with sun worshipers and football fans from around the world.
The candidate who earns the world’s best job will be handed return flights to South America, hotel accommodation, and a month’s salary of £4,000.
They will also be given travel expenses and a whole host of other goodies as they jet from city to city, taking in the sights and sounds of the month-long sporting carnival.
In return, the lucky employee will be expected to write blogs and tweets from the games themselves, including the semi-final and the final.
Titan Bet spokesman Russell Yershon said: “Brazil is the only place to be this summer and we’ve been inundated with offers from people wanting to represent Titan Bet.
“But there’s still time to apply if you haven’t already.
“What footy fan could refuse an all-expenses paid trip to the heart of the action with sunshine and soccer on the menu for a whole month?”
Titan Bet have teamed up with former England and Arsenal star Ray Parlour, also known as the ‘The Romford Pele’, to drive recruitment.
He said: “I had a great job as a professional footballer, but this gig takes some beating. I wish someone would pay me to go to Brazil for a month!”
All you need to do is create an entertaining video of one minute or less duration explaining why you should be given the Best Job in the World.
It’s as easy as that but there are only a few days left with the deadline for entries Monday, May 26, after which the new employee will be selected by a Titan Bet panel.
