Sale Sharks will hope to follow up a famous victory in France last week with a win over Castres in the AJ Bell this Saturday.
The Sharks, who took their first win on the road of the season against the French side, now sit in second place in Pool B of the European Challenge Cup.
And Steve Diamond claimed Saturday’s win over Castres could be the turning point in the his side’s season.
“It’s exciting times but we need to win at the weekend,” he said.
“If we don’t, the result at Castres means nothing.
“We’ve always aimed for the Quarter Finals in this competition, and then we’ll see where we get to.”
A win this weekend would mean a strong chance of qualifying from the group for the Manchester-based side.
The Sharks’ boss praised his team for being able to make good on their game plan last week, but also lauded his team’s commitment to the club.
“We said before the game we need to win away from home in France and it was a great victory,” he said.
“They gave everything for the shirt, without a doubt it’s a turning point for the club’s season.
“We’ve lost and drawn three very close games and through pure determination we’ve won that game which was against a much sterner opposition than we’ve faced over the last few weeks.”
“To be honest, I’m moving three or four players around this week, not to strengthen it but just to give the lads who’ve been playing well an opportunity.
“There are lads who’ve stood up to the plate big time and that’s what we want and the group know that.
“Some have been rewarded again this week, and we’ll strengthen in a couple of areas.”
