David Moyes says he will call on Manchester United’s strength in depth to dispose of Stoke City as he prepares for four games in ten days with the Reds.
United travel to the Britannia for the Capital One Cup quarter-final with Moyes targeting his first major trophy as a manager.
Heading into the hectic Christmas period, Moyes intends to use all the weapons at his disposal against Stoke.
“We have a squad of players who I believe can all play in any game,” Moyes told his press conference on Tuesday.
“We have a lot of games coming up and we need to use that squad.
“I’ll look at this game and see who is best suited. But I think we have fielded a strong side in every game we have played.”
United have won the League Cup on four occasions – the last coming in 2010.
Moyes though has only made it to the semi-finals on one occasion in his managerial career.
The Red Devils have progressed to the quarter-finals with victories over Liverpool and Norwich at Old Trafford. Despite being away from Old Trafford United are favourites to progress with sports betting giant https://sports.bwin.com/en/sports.
Former United legend Mark Hughes is in charge of a Stoke side who have lost their last four meetings with the Premier League champions.
With Moyes looking to make changes to his side, that could see the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Anders Lindegaard, Fabio, Anderson and Ashley Young starting the game.
Moyes has stressed that the Capital One Cup is a competition he is taking seriously.
“All cup competitions are important to Manchester United,” the Scot said.
“I’ve tried to win every competition I’ve been involved in and I will definitely do everything I can to win this one.”
