Wigan’s Muhammed Mokaev will return to action next week for his first fight since getting axed from UFC.
The 23-year-old will take on Raul Rosas Jr in Abu Dhabi on Friday after the pair agreed to the main event with just seven days notice.
This will be Mokaev’s first fight since getting cut from the UFC in July, where he was accused by fellow fighters of being rude to staff.
He was also criticised by fans for his “boring” fighting style.
Mokaev is simply boring!

“He’s just a guy that did everything wrong and p*ssed these guys off” said UFC chief Dana White in August.

He's just a guy that did everything wrong and pissed these guys off. I wasn't involved in any of the stuff that happened with him, but, you know, the matchmakers and Hunter were. And, they weren't happy with him.#UFC pic.twitter.com/7WO4jxI8pl
Mokaev has since signed with Brave MMA – but is yet to fight for the federation.

Since then, the Mexican has gone 4-1 in the UFC’s bantamweight division, and has recently stated that he’s ready to begin fighting ranked opposition.
Rojas is currently ranked 42nd in the bantamweight division and has recently said he’s ready to fight ranked opposition, which makes this rumoured fight with Mokaev somewhat puzzling.
Both had been hinting at the fight for the last two days.
