As Manchester waits for the Premier League kick off this weekend some of its clubs biggest stars were in international action last night.
Five players from Manchester City and United helped themselves to goals while on International duty and MM has compiled a video catalogue of Manchester’s finest in action.
1. Manchester City’s Alvaro Negredo scores with a sublime flick against Uruguay that helped Spain to a 2-0 victory over Ecuador
2.Manchester United frontman Danny Welbeck heads home powerfully for England to equalize against the Scots. The Three Lions went on to a 3-2 victory. (1min46sec)
3. Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko helped himself to an early eight minute goal against the USA but, despite also scoring in the 90th minute, Dzeko could not help his team avoid defeat in a thrilling match that ended 4-3. (Start of video and 6min13sec)
4. Manchester United’s Japanese star Shinji Kagawa salvaged a goal for his country against a strong Uruguay side that ran out 4-2 winners.(2min59sec)
5. Manchester United’s young striker Angelo Henriquez rounded off the scoring as Chile thrashed Iraq 6-0
