Sale Sharks hooker Tommy Taylor is confident Sale can overcome Oyonnax when the French side visit the AJ Bell Stadium tonight.
The Sharks are currently second in Pool 1 of the Amlin Challenge Cup after losing to the Top 14 side in France last Thursday.
Taylor is aware of the dangers the French side possess but believes Sale can beat anyone that Oyonnax put out to face them tonight.
“Whatever team they play will be tough,” said the 22-year-old.
“They have got some really good players but we are confident of playing to our game plan and going for the win.”
The hooker said the priority was of course the victory but that the fans deserved to see some good rugby before Christmas.
“Definitely the win first,” he said.
“We would like to play some nice rugby and get the fans going and hopefully score a few tries to build confidence for London Irish the week after.
“It would make life a lot easier in January and February when the Amlin comes round again.”
Former Wales international Dwayne Peel echoed the words of Taylor and the ex-British and Irish Lions player spoke about the team not looking too far ahead with some key Premiership games approaching.
“We have four big games coming up next month and we are just taking every game as it comes,” said the Welshman.
“Three hard games in the Premiership and very important games but we are just concentrating on Oyonnax and making sure we prepare well for this one.”
