‘One is never enough’: Tom Cleverley says title triumph at Manchester United makes him hungry for more

By Marios Papaloizou

Winning one league trophy is not enough for Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley after the youngster revealed that victory has made him hungrier than ever for success.

Cleverley claimed his first league winner’s medal last season as United strolled to glory in the Premier League.

However, the box-to-box man is not satisfied and wants to ensure that his medal collection continues to grow this season.

“It’s a relief to get the first medal, but it also makes you determined to win more,” Cleverley told Inside United.

“Experiencing that victory parade is something you want to do again and again and again.

“It was a very special day, which I’ll never forget, but I don’t want that to happen once – I want it to happen many times.

“We’ve got that taste now and it makes us even hungrier.”

The England star also revealed that there is a drive that permeates the United squad which he believes will ensure that they are the team lifting the trophy in May.

“You see that in training every day. It’s always competitive. It can put you in a bad mood if you lose in training,” he said.

“It’s the most competitive training ground around, which makes it intense, sharp and helps you improve.”
