There’s no greed here! Keith Hill charmed by Rochdale’s ‘unity’ after another stormer away from home

Rochdale manager Keith Hill was left with a feeling of unity within the team after an impressive 4-0 hammering of Crawley Town at the weekend.

Victory for the Dale condemned a lacklustre Crawley to a fourth straight league defeat and took Rochdale to 13th after they scored their 12th away goal in three fixtures, having conceded just two.

Hill’s team face the might of Sheffield United this coming weekend in what is likely to be a bigger test, but for their personable gaffer having their heads right is a key part of their season.

“I feel as though we have a good squad and there’s a unity about us – on and off the pitch,” said Hill.

“It’s special when you can pick up results like this and know we are going into a free week before playing our next game.

“You’ve got to fight for anything you earn, I don’t mind being Rochdale the underdogs because we invest in people with time not money and that’s what’s important, especially with what we’re doing at the moment.

“Let’s take results and not form to Spotland.”
