Manchester United prodigy James Wilson netted four goals in last night’s Manchester Senior Cup final, including a solo wonder strike that helped the Red Devils thrash rivals City 4-1.
Patrick Vieira’s Blues side took the lead in the opening stages, only for Wilson to dash past three defenders and slot in the equaliser moments before half time.
The 18-year-old then went on to run riot after the interval, bagging three more in a performance that brought City’s defence to their knees.
Wilson is a familiar face amongst United fans, having buried two in his senior debut against Hull City in the closing stages of last season.
He isn’t currently featured in Louis van Gaal’s plans, but the performance was a striking reminder of the club’s youth prospects.
3,261 were in attendance to watch the Red’s reserves lift the trophy for the 28th time.
