Manchester City have shown a fresh perspective of their Capital One Cup success with a new ’fan cam’ video.
The clip, posted on Manchester City’s YouTube channel, shows the full ‘final day’ experience through the eyes of a City supporter.
From waking up in the morning, savouring the match atmosphere and travelling to the game through to the triumphant return, every bit of the 2-1 win over Sunderland is covered.
Even Yaya Toure’s stunning equalising goal is captured, to the delight of the cameraman who shouts: “I’ve got it! I’ve got it on camera,” during the City supporters’ wild celebrations.
Toure’s goal handed City a way back into the match after Fabio Borini had given Sunderland a shock first-half lead.
Samir Nasri’s strike a minute later sealed a first League Cup win for 38 years for the Blue half of Manchester.
More cup success could be on the way for the Blues as they meet Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon before a trip to Spain next Wednesday for the second leg of their Champions League clash with Barcelona.
However, it will take a mammoth turnaround at the Nou Camp after City lost 2-0 at The Etihad in last month’s first leg.
