Manchester Phoenix are looking to make it four out of four home wins in the English Premier League this weekend as they continue to battle with injuries.
Tony Hand’s side face Bracknell Bees away on Saturday and return to their home at Deeside to face Basingstoke Bison on Sunday.
Bracknell finished at the bottom of the 2014/15 league but threw a spanner in the works by beating last season’s third-place Basingstoke last weekend.
Phoenix currently share third place in the league with Basingstoke, both sides have won four of their six league matches.
Basingstoke triumphed over the Phoenix two weeks ago with a 6-2 win, a result that Phoenix will hope to avenge.
Once again the Manchester side will receive support at home from Deeside Dragons players who have been instrumental in the side’s recent home form.
Manchester Phoenix owner, Neil Morris, said the team are buoyant despite injury: “We’ve got two tough games this weekend.
“Bracknell have come back on form and beating Basingstoke makes our trip to Bracknell very interesting.
“The mood in the camp is remarkably good; the boys are going into the weekend with a really good attitude.”
“The guys get confidence through their own playing ability and from seeing how well we’re responding to the injury situation.”
