Manchester United owners the Glazer family announced the club were up for sale last week and the football world has been reacting to the revelation from the club.
After 17 years of ownership, which protests and controversy have marred, it appears the fans have succeeded and the family are finally willing to leave.
Since the statement, there has been a lot of talk about who might be interested in buying the club and when or if a sale will actually happen.
A club that the sale would hugely affect is semi-professional non-league side FC United of Manchester.
Based in Moston in the north of the city, they were founded in 2005 as a protest against the Glazer’s takeover of United.
They are completely fan-owned and operate a one-member, one-vote policy.
We spoke to journalist and FC United fan Callum Scott about the Glazers’ ownership and how it could affect them and the future of football in general.
