A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson after a fire-bomb was thrown into Manchester’s Town Hall.
The incident occurred just before 4pm today, when what is thought to be a bottle of alcohol that was set alight was thrown into the front entrance of the Town Hall.
According to Greater Manchester Police, a small fire ensued but a member of staff managed to stamp it out.
Fire and police officers were called to the scene, where a man, who has not yet been named, was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson.
No one was hurt or injured during the incident.
