The meeting was focused predominantly on developing a right perception, managing disagreements and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation.

His momentous term as Secretary of State under the administrations of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford were globally influential, concerning issues such as the Vietnam War and Cold War with the USSR.

Former Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron made a dramatic return to front-line politics when Rishi Sunak named him Foreign Secretary during a cabinet reshuffle. To do so, he was ennobled as Lord Cameron of Chipping Norton and will operate from the House of Lords.
The Beatles release their final single. Over 50 years since breaking up, The Beatles released their final single ‘Now and Then’. The song, which was remastered through modern technology, immediately ascended into the higher chart echelons.
Terry Venables dies age 80. The visionary footballing coach died on November 25. El Tel was key to rejuvenating Barcelona in the late 80’s into the behemoth it now is in modern football. Despite a memorable playing career he is renowned for his management career from 1976 until 2007, memorably leading the England national team to a semi-final defeat in Euro 96.
Australia beat India in Cricket World Cup final. The culmination of this year’s Cricket World Cup saw hosts India lose to Australia by six wickets. This year’s tournament portrayed the demise of ODI cricket with viewing numbers at an all-time low and stadium attendance particularly poor.
Tom Aspinall becomes UFC champion. Atherton’s Tom Aspinall won the UFC interim heavyweight championship against Sergei Pavlovich. Despite only a two-week training camp, the Brit picked up the belt after a shock first-round knockout.
