Manchester Central Foodbank is running its annual reverse advent calendar campaign which asks people to donate food and essential items.
Across 28 days the advent calendar suggests items to build up a food parcel for someone in need.
Foodbanks distributed record numbers of emergency food parcels in the UK in 2023/24.
The Trussell network consists of 1,400 foodbanks across the UK and distributed 3.12 million emergency food parcels in 2023/24.
The reverse advent calendar campaign at Manchester Central Foodbank will run from 4th November to 1st December 2024 and parcels should be donated in the first week of December ahead of the festive period.
