Fitness craze Hyrox returned to Manchester and more than a thousand athletes took part to raise money for a cancer support charity.
The competition took place last weekend and welcomed people across Manchester to take part in the latest exercise trend, with many athletes competing to support Macmillan Cancer Support.
Its popularity has skyrocketed in recent years, as the fitness sensation challenges racers to test their strength and cardio.
Naomi Conteh, who turned out to support her friend and compete the next day, said: “When you train and see all that hard work pay off it really is amazing.”
Macmillan aimed to raise £400,000 through the event to support people living with cancer up and down the UK.
Athletes can compete in doubles, quartets or on their own in the eight stage course.
