By Danielle Wainwright

Disgraced former BBC presenter Stuart Hall will appear in court today charged with 15 counts of rape on two Manchester children.

Hall, 83, from Cheshire, is alleged to have committed seven rapes against a girl who was aged between 14 and 16 and eight counts of rape and one indecent assault against another girl who was aged between 11 or 12 and 15.

The incidents are believed to have happened between 1976 and 1981 across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

Hall is currently serving a 30-month trial for the sexual abuse of 13 victims with one as young as nine over a 20-year period.

He admitted 14 counts of indecent assault against girls aged between nine and 17.

The broadcaster was well known as the presenter of It’s A Knockout and BBC Radio 5 Live however he has now been stripped of his OBE following the allegations.

He was given a 15-month prison term at Preston Crown Court, however the Court of Appeal ruled that the sentence was ‘inadequate’ and it was doubled in July.
