A man who inappropriately touched a woman in Bury on her way home from a night out is still being hunted by police – who have now issued an Evofit of the suspect.
The 43-year-old victim was walking on Moss Lane, Whitefield at around 4:30am on Saturday May 11 a man walking in the opposite direction to her said good morning as they passed each other.
After deciding to take a shortcut through a nearby alleyway the woman stopped to take off her shoes, and realised the man she had passed was standing in front of her.
He grabbed her neck as she pushed him away, before he approached again and inappropriately touched her as she pushed him away one more time, before he walked away and left.
The victim has been speaking to specially trained officers, and has helped experts put the Evofit together.
Bury South Detective Robert Leacy said: “Seven weeks on, the victim is still badly shaken up by what happened, and we remain committed to finding the perpetrator.
“Thanks to her, the Evofit of the suspect has been put together.
“We ask that people have a good look at the image, and anyone with information to help this appeal should call us.”
The suspect is described as being white, of medium build, 5ft 6in tall, with dark hair and sporting a beard. He was wearing dark trousers and a dark jacket.
Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 8244 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
