Military assault in Israel: Israel’s largest military assault in two decades in the occupied West Bank entered its third day with at least three people killed in the village of Zababdeh, south of Jenin. Among those killed, according to the Israeli army, was Wissam Ayman Hazem, the leader of Hamas in Jenin.

Stabbing in Piccadilly Gardens: A man in his 20s was rushed to the hospital following a violent stabbing in Manchester city centre. The victim, who is not believed to have life-threatening injuries, was found with significant wounds near the bustling Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink stop at approximately 8:15 pm.
