Mourners who spent hours in The Queue are now selling their official wristbands on eBay as collectors items, with prices on many listings running into thousands of pounds.
Bids on the used wristbands have been rising exponentially, like the purple wristband below which now has a top bid of £6,000.
The queue had different coloured wristbands over the ten days of the Queen lying in state and sellers are quick to find gaps in the market, with this seller highlighting they are offering the ‘rare’ green wristband.
For those who don’t want to get caught in the bidding wars you can snatch a bargain with second-hand wristbands listed as buy-it-now for £500.
At its longest the queue to see the Queen’s coffin was over 10 miles with estimated waiting times of 24 hours.
The coloured wristbands were given to those in the queue to allow them to leave and get food or use the bathroom and return to their spot.
With more than 250,000 people estimated to have seen the Queen Lying In State, the number of wristbands available to buy will no doubt increase over the next few days, whether prices will go up too will remain to be seen.
