An elderly man reversed his 4×4 into a house in Stalybridge yesterday causing extensive damage to the living room.
The incident occurred at around 12.36pm when a BMW smashed through the living room of a home on Salisbury Drive.
Fire fighters were forced to remove a bay window from the property and two people were hurt.
No one was in the house at the time of the accident as the homeowners had just gone out.
Watch Manager Jon Sweeney said: “The elderly gentleman had reversed his car and hit the living room causing quite a bit of damage to the house.
“We took the bay window out of the property and tidied up the brickwork from inside the property.
“The woman who was in her late seventies was suffering from shock and the man in his early eighties was suffering from shock, cuts and bruises.”
