An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a shooting in Urmston last week.
The incident occurred shortly before 7.30am on Wednesday May 20, when police were called to Manor Park after the body of 29-year-old Andre Marshall was found lying in the road next to a car.
Andre had suffered gunshot wounds to his torso and leg, with a post-mortem examination later establishing that Andre died from gunshot wounds.
Yesterday, GMP officers arrested an 18-year-old man from the Trafford area who remains in police custody.
Chief Superintendent Mary Doyle said: “Last night, the team investigating Andre’s murder made an arrest and today detectives will be questioning this individual.
“We will keep the community updated on the progress of this investigation and are still appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information, no matter how small, to please come forward and speak to us as soon as possible.”
