Animated short film aims to bring awareness to issue of animal testing around the world

Writer and director Spencer Susser has partnered with Humane Society International to create a short, animated film starring a white rabbit named Ralph.

The film is an interview with Ralph, voiced by award-winning director Taika Waititi, explaining his job role as a “tester” for humans.

It follows Ralph’s routine in a seemingly normal house as he explains the details of his job before he is taken from the room to be experimented on.

The film is a collaboration effort to highlight the global issue regarding animal testing which the HSI are tackling.

Speaking with HSI, Susser said: “It’s so important that Ralph feels real because he represents countless real animals who suffer every day.”

Save Ralph also stars Ricky Gervais as the interviewer with Zac Efron, Olivia Munn, Pom Klementieff and Tricia Helfer as the voices of other test subject rabbits.

A petition has been created by HSI and is available for anyone to sign, more information can be found on HSI from the website.
