Wigan woman dragged from car and attacked in terrifying assault… all for a WATCH they didn’t even get

By Helen Le Caplain

Masked men kicked and punched a terrified Wigan woman after dragging her from her car for a watch last week.

At about 11.50pm on June 21 the victim had got into the car after leaving an address on Woodcock Drive, Platt Bridge.

The men opened the door, pulled the woman out and made demands for the watch; the victim managed to throw the watch back into the car.

The offenders kicked and punched her before running off empty handed.

Detective Chief Inspector Howard Millington said: “The victim has been left terrified by what happened.

“While we have been making thorough enquiries, we would urge any witnesses, or anyone with any information to call us and help our investigation.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7225 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
