Detective Constable Danny Ritchie, from Wigan division, said: “Thankfully no one was injured, but the shop assistants have been left traumatised by the robbery.
“I am appealing to anyone who has information about this robbery to come forward.”
Detective Constable Ritchie added: “In particular, I want to hear from anyone who either witnessed the robbery itself or saw these two men acting suspiciously before or after the incident.”
The first man is described as white, between 5ft 10in and 6ft tall and of large build.
He was wearing a grey tracksuit with his hood and face concealed by a scarf.
The second is white man, about 6ft tall with a heavy build. He too wore a grey hooded top with the hood up and carried a large kitchen knife.
