A student shopping night returns to the Arndale next week with discounts from over 200 stores.
The Mcr Student Night Out, organised by Manchester Arndale, takes place on Tuesday September 27 between 4-9pm with high street, designer and independent stores offering up to 50% in discounts.
The event will also see the city come alive with an array of DJs, street food, free runners, roaming bands and much more.
Selfridges Exchange Square is also hosting an evening of exclusive offers of up to 20% off selected brands.
Selfridges will also be including an array of extraordinary experiences including hula hoop classes, a glitter bar and ‘Unlock the Box’ game.
The student takeover will see DJs Faith and Tim Wright taking the stage at the Arndale.
Whilst on Market Street, Capital FM’s James Hall, Matt and Phred’s Back Chat Brass Roaming Gig and Black Dog Ballroom’s Bowling Alley are among those taking over.
Prizes can also be won through various different means across the city centre.
Jane Shorrocks, Heart of Manchester Business Improvement District (BID) chair and general manager at Selfridges Exchange Square explained her excitement for one of the biggest events in the student city’s calendar.
“This provides a fantastic opportunity for stores and restaurants to welcome more than 100,000 new and returning students,” she said.
“This year’s event is set to be our biggest yet with more discounts, more music and more entertainment.”
Heart of Manchester BID will see an extra £5million invested in the city centre’s retail district until 2018 to help Manchester retain and reinforce its standing as a leading retail destination.
