A billboard has been erected in Manchester looking for a ‘genuine psychic’.
The sign, which is located on Fairfield Street, reads, ‘Psychic wanted, you know where to apply’ – but doesn’t provide any additional information as to who should be contacted or where to ‘apply’.
Steve Baxter, of signage company Mandoemedia.com, said: “We were contacted by an individual to place this advertisement seeking a psychic. Initially, we thought it was a joke, but the individual explained that they were deeply serious and wanted to find a genuine psychic.
They felt the best way to do that would be to put out a ‘psychic wanted’ advert without any contact information, because a good psychic would know exactly when, where, and how to contact them.
It wasn’t made clear exactly why they were in need of a psychic, maybe they had been swindled by a fake psychic in the past, or perhaps they want clarity on their future, we don’t know, but we are seriously invested in this experiment and it would be incredible if it actually works.”
The billboard reads ‘Psychic wanted, you know where to apply’ in large white text in front of a dark background, and is displayed next to a lime-green triangle.
It was erected on August 18 and is located on Fairfield Street, approximately a 10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. The exact location can be found on Google Maps here.
For obvious reasons, the individual behind the advertisement wishes to keep their identity hidden.
