Dance music pioneers The Prodigy have announced three tour dates at Manchester’s infamous Warehouse Project this December – pre-sale tickets went on sale today.
However, devoted supporters trying to purchase the pre-sale tickets from TheProdigy.com crashed the website earlier today as thousands of fans tried desperately to get their hands on the precious few tickets.
Tickets will officially go on sale to the public tomorrow but the shows – which are between December 18-20 – are expected to sell out quickly as the trio have only announced four UK dates so far.
Conor Findlow, 19, a student from Sale, said: “I was lucky to get pre-sale tickets today before the website crashed.
“I saw The Prodigy at Milton-Keynes and they were unreal, one of the best performances I have ever seen.
“The crowd went absolutely crazy for them. I have never seen anything like it.”
The band began in the early 90s and has built a reputation for being one of the best live acts around as they consistently galvanise crowds.
Mike Sanders, 20, a student from Northenden, added: “I cannot wait to see them again; they are the best live act I have ever seen.”
Die-hard fans from across the whole UK will be watching in agony as clocks approach 9.00am tomorrow when the remaining tickets will be sold.
The ‘big-beat’ band has had supreme success for more than two decades selling in excess of 25million records worldwide.
The group have won numerous music awards throughout their career, including two Brit Awards and have also been nominated for two Grammy awards.
Having recorded smash-hits such as Fire-Starter, Omen, Invaders must die and Warriors dance the band can be heard across the globe.
The Prodigy’s unmistakable melodies and funky beats will continue to blast through dance music lovers stereos for years to come.
