A man has been arrested after a 21-year-old man was raped and robbed on his way home from a night out in Manchester.
The 21-year-old victim was walking home along Spear Street near Piccadilly at around 3am when a man threatened him with a bottle, demanding his mobile phone and cash
Despite handing over the items, the terrified man was then raped.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and was bailed until April 24, pending further police enquiries.
Police enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
