A £2,000 reward has been offered after a large amount of cash was stolen from a currency kiosk at a supermarket in Trafford Park.
Police have released CCTV following a theft at the bureau de change at the Asda store, which happened shortly before 3.45pm on July 29.
The offender is described as Asian, in his mid-20s or 30s, of slim build, was smartly dressed and wore a light coloured shirt, black jacket and glasses.
An investigation has been launched and a 22-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud. She has been bailed until September 21.
Detective Constable Simon Johnson said: “We have obtained CCTV footage of a man, who does not work at the store, entering the kiosk and acting in a suspicious manner. A substantial amount of cash was taken and we are keen to find the person who is responsible.
“I would ask people to take time to look at the CCTV footage and bear in mind that the offender may be using some form of disguise to obscure his appearance.
Anyone who may recognise the person in the footage is asked to contact us as soon as possible.”
