A theft occurred at the Manchester City store in the Arndale at around midday today.
A white male in his mid-30s wearing a grey tracksuit was seen sprinting through the Arndale Centre clutching six or seven Man City home jerseys – still on their hangers.
One of the shirts – which retail at £80 – fell to the floor as he made his escape.

Security guard Ali, 44, who was covering the shop when the incident occurred, said shoplifting is a regular issue in the Arndale store.
He said: “This is the first one today, but it sometimes happens more than once a day.”
The staff response was discreet and no security alarm was triggered by the incident.
Mancunian Matters asked the store manager if police had been contacted.
He added: “We are dealing with it internally and have no further comment.”

Last year, Greater Manchester Police launched a “retail crime” task force of 40 student officers in a bid to reduce anti-social behaviour and shoplifting in the Arndale Centre.
In November, they reported a 46% reduction in anti-social behaviour incidents and 22% reduction in retail crime in the four months since the initiative began.
But a clip went viral last month of an iPhone theft in the Apple Store directly opposite the Man City club shop, suggesting there is still work to be done.
