A man has allegedly jumped from a bridge onto a Manchester motorway this morning during morning commuter traffic.
At around 7.20am police responded to reports that a man had jumped from a bridge on to the M62 east bound near to junction 20.
The body of a man was discovered who was pronounced dead at the scene.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death at this stage.
The motorway has now been closed eastbound between junctions 20 and 21 and motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
