Power hockey came to Warrington last weekend as Birchwood Community Hub welcomed the inclusive rugby-like sport for the first time.
A contact-based sport, power hockey is played using power wheelchairs fitted with a bumper which allow the player to push the ball along and tackle other players.
Despite the name, it is more akin to rugby and serves as an alternative to wheelchair rugby league for those who cannot use a manual wheelchair.
The GB Power Hockey Association organised the taster session with the Warrington Wolves Foundation to give more people in the North West an opportunity to try the sport.
