England’s North West will be full of even more festive cheer this year after B&Q announced they were donating Christmas trees to Manchester good causes – as well as launching a selfie competition.
The donations form part of B&Q’s ongoing commitment to supporting its local community and this year the UK’s leading home improvement retailer will giveaway almost 300 Christmas trees to charities across the country.
The North West charities include Trafford Centre of Independent Living, The Trussell Trust and Crisis.
Colin Greene, Regional Manager at B&Q, said: “In the North West of England, we have donated 11 trees to 10 local charities in the region. The idea of giving back to our local community has always been at the heart of our business, and it is even more important at Christmas.”
The benefitting charities have all been selected because they are close to the hearts of colleagues, who will be hand delivering the spruces over the next two weeks in order to spread Christmas cheer to the local people supported by the good causes.
Aiming to spread as much joy as possible this Christmas, B&Q customers are being offered the chance to win a trip to Lapland by snapping a photo of themselves in B&Q’s in store ‘Festive Forest’.
By sending their best selfie to [email protected], customers are entered in to the prize draw.
